  1. I bought an Initial DVD-9510 last week at Wal*Mart, and returned it since it won't play my DVD-R's. Even though it didn't say it would play them, I was hoping it would

So I was looking around on ebay for portable DVD players that will play the DVD-R discs, something cheap, and I found a guy selling a DVD-9511. In the ad he says it will play DVD-R's, says it was manufactured in 9/2002. I can't find this machine ANYWHERE else, and am wondering if this is for real or if the seller is just mistaken. One thing about his ad is that he calls it an InitiaI unit, with a capital "I" in place of the "L" (could be an innocent mistake, and it does happen a few times in his ad) and also he includes "Palm Theater" in the name of the unit, which seems to be a trademark of Panasonic. My emails to the seller have gone unanswered, and the unit sold for around $260 and he hasn't posted another yet.

Anybody know about this unit? Hell, if Walmart's gonna sell these for $200 or $250, I'll be waiting in line for one!

  2. I never saw that or heard of it, then again I cannot even find a website for Initial

I just picked up the Initial 9510, and very dissapointed with quality. It does play my SVCD, and VCD, but the color is totally off, and brightness as well. I tired mesing with the settings but cannot get it. It looks great if I hook it up to a TV, but if I were to use it on a train it would look horrible
