I have 5 episodes of the series "Friends" in SVCD format and I want to burn them on a CD so I can watch them in my DVD Player.
Now, my question is, if I burn them into one CD, will I be able to watch them in my DVD Player, I mean, are they been burned into diffreant tracks or something?

Another thing, does anyone know where can I find "Friends" subtitles?

    10x.

  2. Yes, just choose SVCD mode and add all 5 tracks to your compilation (if they are SVCD compliant). They will be played one after other in the order you add them to your compilation. Sorry can't help you with subtitles.

  3. I think you will struggle to get 5 SVCD episodes of friends on 1 disc. Thats got to be over 100 minutes. An 80 minute CDR can accomodate approx 45-60min depending on bitrate.

So what is a good bitrate for lets say, one episodes of friends (about 20-25 minutes)?
I think I'll reencode the files anyway because each one is about 320 MG, I think I'll make them about 25% of a CD-R80 so I could burn 4 episodes on 1 disk.

I would not re-encode. If each episode is 320MB you fit two on a CDR.
In my experience re-encoding cause a losss in qaulity.

  6. When I capture Friends off satalite I encode each episode (average 21 mins) to:

    CVD
    352x576
    128 bit audio
    2456 kbits/s

    fits 2 episodes on a 700 including a menu.
