how to rip without all the extras

does anyone know the easiest way i could rip a dvd straight to a mpg file without all the menus and extras but with good quality???????????

Rip the main movie vobs with Smartripper in Stream Processing Mode. This will rip the vobs as well as the stream you select, in your case the video stream (m2v) file and the audio stream (usually an .ac3 file). Once ripped, disgard all files but these stream files, then remux the video & audio stream with tmpgenc. It would be good to be using a NTFS file sytem as the resulting mpeg2 file may go over 4Gb
