  1. Hi,

I've got a question concerning frameserving with Virtual Dub. I've frameserved and subtitled over 40 movies succesfully now, but this one keeps giving me trouble.
At first I frameserved to TMPGenc. Everything went fine up to about 1/3 of the movie. Then the picture frooze for the rest of the movie.
Next step: scan the video stream for errors. The scan continues up to the exact point where the picture frooze in TMPGenc. Then Virtual Dub stops the scan and gives me the following error:

"Internal error: MMX state left on: T:\projects\Virtual Dub_old\main\VideoSource.cpp:1101"

I already tried disabling MMX via Virtual Dub, But it gives the same error.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Thanx in advance,

    J

  3. Thanx for the advice m8. This could be the problem. You see, I still use 1.4.9.
I'll give the new version a try.

  4. The mmx error is a common problem with scanning some divx files in vdub. There is a variation of vdub called vdub-mp3-freeze, search for it on the forum you should be able to find it. This software creates a log of bad frames in c:\badframes.log which you must delete manually in the timeline. I'm sure if you search you will find a detailed guide of what to do. If you get stuck let me know.

Hi all. Speaking of VirtualDub did anyone catch the newest release? v1.4.12 comes in 2 flavors. One version optomized for P4 processors and addresses some key issues with the new generation HT processors. If this has already been posted please forgive. I've been away for a while. http://www.virtualdub.org/
    Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack

  6. I tried the newest Virtual Dub, but that didnt work either. Now it doesnt even give me an error message. It was worth the try though.

I found the userguide on vdub-mp3-freeze. I'll give that one a try.

Thanx for the advice. I'll let you know how it turns out.
