  1. I have many videos in .mpg, .asf, .wmv, .avi formats, but when I click PrintScreen to take a screenshot of windows media player, it turns out black where the video should be. Is there any freeware program that will allow me to capture frames of video and turn them into .jpeg format for example.
I believe I once had a successful screenshot with an .avi file, but since I have so many different formats, I would like a program that can capture all. Thanx.

    (I have a ATI RAGE Pro 8mb video card, P2 400mhz, 320mb sdram, in case that's relevant)

  2. You can load a movie up in Virtual Dub and go to the frame you want to a screen shot of and under "video" click copy to clipboard. I'm just not sure of what formats Virtual Dub supports. I know you can do it for avi and mpg1, not sure about the rest.
