I have an ATI AIW 128 16 mb card and was told it used drivers that are WDM, which are NOT compatible with Virtualdub.

Another post indicated that the ATI AIW 16mb is a bt8x8 capture card and that I may be able to load up the generic btwincap drivers and see if they help applications like vdub and others to work properly and to get them from Sourceforge.net

When you d/l and run the driver install program does it do everything necessary or do you have to go into device manager and associate the driver with an application. Will the generic btwincap driver have a conflict with the ATI drivers ( I assume ATI drivers I recently updated have a driver for capture because I can capture with their software)?

Maybe someone could indicate to me just how drivers work and whether having too many different drivers could cause a conflict.

If memory serves me, all the info about installation is there on the site. I followed them and have no trouble whatsoever.
