Is there any way to burn more than 700mb worth of SVCD data on a DVDR and have it play on a DVD Player (which can already play DVDR movies and SVCD movies), without reencoding the video??
edit:: I forgot to say thank you, thanks!

It's not necessary to re-encode SVCD video to import into a DVD authoring program. At most you need to resample the audio to 48000,because DVD only excepts 48000. I've converted SVCD to DVD-R.
Demux the SVCD into it's .m2v and .mp2 streams, resample audio to 48000. Rename the new audio file with an .ac3 extension and prorams like SpruceUp will import them.
