Is there a way to add the black bars on the top or bottom of the video in my avi file while keeping it in avi format. I know I could do it if I converted it to mpg but I don't want to do that.![]()

And the reason needed for you to have black bars on a AVI file is?
As you are forced to play it back on your PC and any Mediaplayer
should have the option full screen (keep aspect ratio)
Or turn aspect-ratio off and resize the window if that is the part of the
problem.
Virtualdub would do it, if you still have an urge for black bars. -
ya, true, VDUB should do it... but same question... WHY?
(its gonna look very bad, i promis you)Wanne earn something a couple of dollars?

Well I am playing my AVI files with PowerDVD XP and it does not support "keep aspect ratio" with media files. So when I hit full screen everything is distorted. I would like to have it just go full screen while keeping the aspect ratio.
