I use DVDX 2.0 without the plugin, and get good results, how long it takes
    will depend on your CPU.

    Burn to CD-r with NERO.

  3. Well since ur new at this i would recommend downloading EazyVCD, from www.eazyvcd.tk. Its a very simple, easy, fast, high quality program. It currently does DVD to VCD/ DVD to XVCD. Soon to support SVCD. If you want SVCD i would recommend DVD2SVCD.

When burning the VCD/XVCD video to a disc i would recommend using NERO, cause it does an awesome job! When your burning a XVCD video make sure u turn off standard compliance.
