    Could someone please tell me why TMPGEnc opens certain avi files and not others, could I please have some info on the different avi formats around, as some I can encode in avi2vcd and others in TMPGEnc, as the ones I use in avi2vcd wont open in TMPGEnc, and visa versa, TMPGEnc is the fastest for encoding out of the two I want to be able to use just the one if poss, (TMPGEnc).

    Install the Nimo Codecs (see Tools). It should allow you to open all AVI files.
