Something weird with a divx movie.

I have a divx movie Jay and Silent Bob and when i forward it or just jump to about 13 minutes it shows the end of the movie for about 10 minutes and then goes back to the part it is supposed to,this also happens when i encoded it.Normally I would just assume that it is just a bad file but when I open it In the Divx player if i don't forward it and just watch it it plays perfectly normal.

any suggestions on whats wrong or what to do,i can't just get rid of the extra part because it misses a few minutes.

Does your AVI play OK in Windows Media Player? If not, run it through Virtual Dub using Direct Stream Copy both in Audio and Video and save as AVI.
