OK this is what I'm trying to do.
I want to add subtitles that are in SSA format to DVDs.
It's basically ripping episode by episode and add subtitles for each episode and put it back to a DVD without re-encoding the vob files.
The purpose of this... it's to re-sub HK DVDs... If anyone has ever bought HK DVDs -- you would know the translations aren't the greastest...
I can make hardsubbed DVDs, but that's not what I want... I want to be able to turn them on and off.
What I'm trying to achieve here: NO RE-ENCODING!
Does anyone know exactly how can this be achieve?
Another thing that I want to try to do: I want to add subtitles to R1 DVDs without re-encoding them. Example: Kenshin DVDs: a lot of people complain that the translations were bad and so on... So I'm wondering if it is possible to add subtitles to a DVD structure and just burn it without the need of re-encoding. (Also keeping the menu and everything if DVD is single layer). This way you would see 2 subtitles tracks... The Original and the one I added....
I guess I'm looking for a yes / no answer here... But I would love to know how can you do it even if you have to re-encode...
Would it be something like this?
SmartRip > ep by ep > DVD2AVI > V-FAPI > CCE > DVD Authoring Program ?
Any help on this little problem would be appreciate!
