    Hi to everyone!
I'm looking for a codefree dvd player with a NTSC/PAL system conversion output (could play PAL discs on a American "NTSC" TV) and so far I found Sampo and Malata.

Which one is better? Is there any other company that include this feature?

    Thanks a lot! Nick
P.S. Good links will be useful too!

  3. I 'll go for the Malata n-996. I have one I've played region one discs (with RCE) and the quality is as good as the Pal discs. So I guess playing a Pal disc onto a NTSC tv will be the same. It has a built in converter.
Take a look at this site http://www.avdeals.ca/malata_dvd.htm

  4. Sampo, Apex, Shinco and Skyworth, just to name a few, are or can be made code free and Macrovision free, and can do NTSC <-> PAL.
However Malata is the best so far, since it has X and Y adjustments, your converted picture can be adjusted so it won't appear squished like the other players.
Malata N 996: Progressive scan with Karaoke and AC-3 decoder hence more expensive, but no Macrovision hack.
