  1. i've got a d/led DivX movie that i want to convert to mpeg, when i follow the "how to" guide everything seems to go ok until i try to save the wav.i get an error box saying " the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format"
i have tried leaving the sample rate as 48000 instead of 41000 but it still brings up the same error.this has only happened with this one film i'm trying to convert all others have worked fine.
i've got all the codecs installed and tried the older version of virtualDUB but get no joy.
does anyone have any idea how i can convert extract the audio without getting this error or is there a proggie out there that will do the same as virtualDUB

    thx

  2. Its probably an AC3 file.
A - You can use CoolEdit and select extract Audio from Video File. Gives you the full size Wave file.

Or B: Use Virtua Dub and select Direct streaming instead of full processing, then change the extention from .wave to .ac3
    Gives you the compressed form.

    A - Works a treat.
