  1. I have heard a couple people mention that they are experiencing problems when having both Divx3 and Divx5 installed. Personally I have noticed a couple of my DivX 3 movies now crash in the midle of the movie since I installed DivX 3.11 and 4.12 rather than just 5. Unfortunately I had not tested the entire movie BEFORE installing the old DivX codecs, so they could just be corrupt.

ALSO, I would like to get a consensus on what people think is the best way to uninstall the old Divx codecs, or just codecs in general in WIndows XP.

    SOUND OFF PEOPLE!!!

    Thanks guys.

  2. I just tried all different ways to figure out what's messing with one of my movies quality, so i looked up what codec that movie have and it was DivX3.
So i opened that Divx config thingy that comes with DivX5.02 and i set Quality to MAX and Film Effect to Max that improves the quality but still not what i wanted. Since divx3 doesn't have uninstaller i uninstalled divx5 first and now quality is great.
I haven't checked my movies that is possibly divx5. So i guess i will install divx5 every time i want to watch divx5 movie.

If anybody have a better method that would be great.

This is what movie looks like (screen is not from movie but same look crappy colors)
