My first post so i apologize if i'm in the wrong forum.
My dvd drive on my pc does not recognize the dvd when i put it in the drive. It recognize VCD and a a regular CD, but not DVD! It acts like the DVD is not even there.
I'm new to DVDs so i don't know much. Any ideas or solutions?
Thanks
GF

Hmm..
Have you tried multiple DVD's. Mabye it just does not like that one? -
Oh,sorry if i didn't provide enough info. Yes, I've tried many DVDs. I doubt that it would be a problem with the DVD.
I am also using winxp. I hear some people say I need encoding by using power dvd or windvd and i tried, but doesn't work. I can't say it's an encoding problem becuz my drive can't even read the dvd, but only read vcd and regular cds.

Did DVD's ever work? I would start by calling the manufacturer.
