  1. want to put one of my home movies to video-have joined both parts in mpeg format together using tmpeng, when i try to record the movie about three quarters of the way through the sound distorts- the original mpegs are fine-only got this problem after i joined them-any ideas anyone?

    It might depend on what program you used to join them. Not sure as I'm still learning this trick myself. One thing people have told me is that if you cant get it to work, that you should separate the audio and video, edit them separately, and then join them into one file. I haven't tried that as it is a lot of work but if it does the job, then all the more power to it.

  3. if they are divx, simply trim the end of the first file with vdub to the closest key frame, export, and then append to the new file.

    if that is still out u need to play with the start time of the audio for the second file,

    if the second files audio goes out when you play it, then its a framerate issue
