  1. I just downloaded and installed the latest version of TMPGEnc but it will not load. I have WMP v9.0 Beta installed on my computer. Whenever I try to load TMPGEnc, I get this error message, "Tmpgenc has caused an error in "mp43dmod.dll". Tmpgenc will now close." Help?

  2. I te something like that sometimes. to make it work again I delete the following to files from the program directory:

    CurrentCfg.tpr
    TMPGENC.ini

This resets the program and stops it from erroring out. Hope that helps!

  3. Thanks for the tip. It did get the program to load. However, now I'm getting the exact same error message when I try to encode.

    cclm76,
Do yourself a favor and get rid of WMP 9. I've heard of to many horror stories after installing this not ready for prime time POS. Not to be condescending, but you've got to expect trouble when using beta software. There is a very long thread over at Broadband Reports.com in the Microsoft help section concerning WMP 9 and the list of bugs is extensive. To sum it up the problem doesn't reside in TMPGEnc, but in WMP 9 and the fact that some key system dll's got hammered during the so-called upgrade.
    Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack
