Hello,
I want to transfer VHS tapes to DVD format that will play in almost all the DVD players.
I don't want to use a computer or DVD Writer to do this.
I want to use one of those DVD Writers that are out in BEST BUY like Pannasonic, Philips, etc. But once the final DVD is made, it SHOULD PLAY IN ALL DVD PLAYERS.
What is the best format to do in: DVD-R, DVD+, DVD+RW, DVD RAM or VCD?
Thank you for your help.

I don't think you will find any DVD format that will play in ALL DVD players on the market. Especially the older ones, they don't seem to play much more than store bought DVDs.
