Maybe a little bit off topic but I can not get any good info off the net and I thought maybe there is someone who knows about camcorders. I got a sony trv25 and the audio i record from the internal microphones has periodic cracking and popping. It is about 6 months old and it did not do this when I first got it. I tried cleaning the heads with a head cleaning tape.
I am thinking about getting and external microphone. Does anyone have any suggestions about a decent not expensive external microphone.
Also just fyi i tried opening up the camcorder to see any problem and this looks so cheap inside. This i guess is to be expected of cheap consumer device.
