A newbie here. I've a 15 minute video created in Final Cut Pro and I'd like to put it to VCD or SVCD. No problem in that, but question is, is it possible to make it truly 'cross platform?' Stand alone DVD player, Mac and PC. And also make it AUTO RUN on the computers? I've Nero for the PC and Toast Titanium for the MAC. Did manage to burn one that played on the DVD player and one PC (a Gateway box running Win 98, but had to dive into the directory of the VCD to find the movie.dat file in order for Windows Media Player to launch it.) Tried it another PC running Windows 2000 and WMP wouldn't launch it. And the Mac I have wouldn't launch as well. I'd hate to create a VCD or SVCD and make the end user jump through hoops just to view it.
