  1. No picture. I bought the card last night and installed without much problem. I have downloaded the latest drivers and tried both cable and conventional antenna. It acts like I am receiving a signal, but no picture. It is not sharing an IRQ & everything appears to be OK. I'm probably going to try some capturing today...but looking for some advice.

    Thanks, Samcut

  4. Are you getting audio?
There might be some preview/overlay problems if the card is detecting the TV channel and gives audio. If there is no audio or video, then the card is most likly not installed correctly. Try reinstalling the drivers over again (manually). WinTV2000 is the viewing and capture application that should work with the card.

  8. Got it! Changed my monitor from default to plug & play and it works. I will now move onto capturing video via svideo from my Sont TRV120.

    Thanks to all,

  9. OK, not quite ready to write my review yet. The tuner function works great since I changed my monitor type. Now I'm on to my next challenge and have not found the answer yet. I connected my camcorder up to the PVR-250 via Svideo. It records and plays back great in WinTV. However, playback sucks in Win media player. But both are playing no sound? I played with the settings and still have had no luck. I should just need to hook the Svideo up correct? Help would be appreciated.

  10. Downloading and resinstalling the Windows Media Player usually fixes all problems with the media player.

As for audio, there are only one set of inputs, both comon for composite and S-video input. Simply plug in the a small audio jack (like the ones used on stereo headphones for a walkman) and connect the other end to the RCA audio outputs on your VCR or other video output device. There is an audio adjustment in the registry you can adjust for the correct audio levels. Do you get audio from the tuner? I would assume so, that leaves the audio cables between your VCR and the inputs connector on the PVR-250.

Yup I have agree with skittelsen it dose sound like you forgot hook up the audio cable from your camcorder to the PVR 250.
Note about min camcorder they do only mono sound so you need get a mono to stereo jack.

  12. Thanks guys. I kept reading my camcorder manual and the PVR forum notes, and it kept mentioning just the Svideo...no audio cable. Seems to only make sense. I'll pick up a cable a radio crack and give it a try.

    Thanks, Samcut
