I just used VCDgear to extract an mpg file from a PAL VCD. Turned off file splitting b/c I was getting 11 files that didn't play. W/ it off, I've got one mpg w/ audio and it plays find.
Now I'm attempting to edit out parts. I'm using TMPGenc v2.57 and followed the instructions on editing, but I'm not getting any audio. The pic looks find though.
thanks in advance for any advice.

VCDGear is a bit option-heavy... have you tried using Virtual Dub??? It will open the VCD's .DAT file (copy it to your hard-drive first) as it is, and then you can use VDUBs Source range to save all the l'il pieces you want.
