http://www.archive.org/movies is a pretty good source for films that
DO NOT VIOLATE COPYRIGHT LAWS!!!
as for those that do, look elsewhere than here
THIS IS HARDCORE -
maybe you should go somewhere else to get the answers you need. Please do NOT ask again for any material that migh violate copyright law on these boards, thank you.
-
man you know how much money and trouble you get in! if you get cought! And dont think people don't. The Motion Picture Association is really upset about Warez and stuff. Dont do it. I mean I guess everyone lives and learns. But with all these new laws. Like the Digital Millinuim Copyright Act, you could really screw yourself over.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't come here and ask for movies... You could get in serious trouble...

hey who the hell r u that dare to comment on me???? -
Hey statuspending,
That was one cool link. I always like those old public service and industrial films. They can be so unintentionally funny They have a ton of them! Thanks!
One weird thing. I downloaded one and it was 480x480 but was a MPEG1 not MPEG2. Strange format to use if not intended for SVCD.

it isn't as much who he is as what the people who run the site think, which is expressed in large, brightly colored capital letters when you post a topic:
NO REQUESTS AND NO LINKS FOR WAREZ,APPZ,MOVIEZ,CRACKZ OR SERIALZ ON THIS FORUM PLEASE!
and while i don't think too many individuals are really being prosecuted just for downloading a movie or two (that's mostly people who do so for profit) some ISPs are turning off connections (which is not a good idea and a whole can of worms in its own right) the other people are right, this isn't the place to ask for them. we'd prefer that this site not get sued or shut down for stupid crap like that... -
You make me laugh "everett", I am the regular user of these boards and website, I'm a guy who just uses this place as a means of information as to how to go about making my own vcd's. Maybe you take this board and site for granted, maybe people like you should go somewhere else to discuss "warez" topics. I have used this site for my own purposes and many other people also do the same. I am sure that I and the other respective users of this site can agree that we want this site to stay alive, and to not be shut down by the MPAA or anyone sles for that matter. Requesting "warez" on an informational site like this shows immaturity, and reluctance to read the message board rules for the site.
-
so true. there are so few sites with loads of useful info to learn on topics like this, but there are thousands of warez sites. so why here? and come on, you can BUY VCDs legally for like $3 (just make sure they aren't marked "no distribution outside of so and so country (usually malaysia)" or customs will likely seize them).
and isn't it quicker just to search the forums for warez links rather than registering and always posting a new topic every time someone asks this? and when you do that search, doesn't anybody notice the fact that people here aren't trading many warez links? and why are there so damn many of these posts lately?
these people remind me of the ones who go to the used-cd store and look in the $1.99 bin, and then say "no, i'll just download that as mp3s instead". let's save the $1, use more time, and get inferior quality out of the deal. anyway, just my observations...

Ok I wasn't going to do this but I figured what the hell the program is legal so I should be safe. Now goto http://www.kazaa.com and it's a napster like program which if a person is wanting to find say movies and songs he can but I'm not saying I condone it but I figured this is a harmless link. **Note to the mods, if you deem this inapropriate please delete it, the last thing I wanna do is get banned or get this place shut down**
-
If that really is the last thing that you would want to happen to this site, you would not test it as you have done in any way, shape or form.
-
Sorry man I do totally agree with you about not posting it there, the reason why I did post it is cause it is a legal commercially available program that is advertised at download.cnet.com and all over and people are always asking where they can get copyright free background music and images so I was giving them the link too. Also, I've been here a of a lot longer than you so I DO have an EDUCATED assumption that the link was fine so lets consider this topic finished.

stansell.
i ran across that site a while back and was so amazed. http://www.archive.org/movies has so much historical stuff. films about nuclear warfare...biochemical warfare...all that stuff.
it's really great

Oh Man, How many times do I hear this.... Why do people think that websites will answer all ther pirate needs...
First and formost why would someone create a website and then place full-length movies on it for all to have !!
I know that Movies can be found on the net (Mirc, FtP's)
but come on people web sites rarely contain enough data to support such huge file sizes ( unless linked to a ftp or another file transfer system ) but most have nothing but a endless run around of pop-ups and porn links !!
and last off this is not the forum to really discuss the matter of obtain illegal movies from the so called "NET"
try another area ( Mirc )
if it's illegal , and morally wrong
IT's ON Mirc !!!

Let me just say that I have finally come to the conclusion that for *any* purpose, it's absolutly *impossible* to find full movies for download. Either the website's server is down, or it makes you click on fifty pop-ups to get a link to kazaa.com. I sincerely down't believe that any of them even *have* the files.
-
No Requests. But yes you can get them. I have downloaded them. do not get from kazza tho. they are usually fakes. If you have aol go into chat rooms like **cough** cough* prm sln cough** infinite** If u are not on aol look on IRC or ftp.

Here's a link that tells you where you can download movies...pay special attention to addendums:

a while back i clicked on a link when i got realplayer for the first time. it took me to a site where you can BUY (note the keyword there) movies. on the site it had like 3 or 4 movies that you could watch for free. as far as software to record them. i don't know about. this was a totally legal site. it was not a moviez or warez site. and when i say movies i'm talking older 80's movies.
