I have been creating svcd's from DVD films, using TMPGe with a Source Aspect ratio of '16:9' and a Video arrange Method of 'Full Screen - keep to aspect ratio'.
When i play this on my non widescreen TV it looks perfect and has two black bars on the top & bottom of the picture to produce the 16:9 ratio. I am assuming that my standalone DVD player adds one set of black bars, and the other is added by TMPGe?
i was quite happy with these results until i played one of these SVCD's on a widescreen TV, the proportions still look OK but the picture size is a lot smaller than when the orginal DVD was played.
I have a button on my non widescreen TV to set it to a 16:9 ratio. What settings are used on the orginal DVD?
What settings should i use? Should i use the default settings loaded by TMPGe?
Many Thanks for any advice.

Picture size should fill the screen on your Widescreen TV, don't you have a zoom button ?, the black borders should then disappear ?
