Hey All,
I am new to the Tuner/Capture/VCD world, but am not new to computers.
The easiest thing to do would be to tell you what I am looking for and let you guys (hopefully) help decide the best course of action. I am looking for a tuner/PVR card that will let me:I was trying to stay away form the video cards solutions. I was trying to stay under $150
- Watch TV on computer while doing work (on/off)
- record tv shows off of the tuner card to my hard drive in a PVR type fashion
- Burn those onto CDR/CDRW for viewing on my Apex/Big Screen(no DVD burner...yet)
- Get the best sound quality for the xfer to cdr/cdrw
- In future, convert some VHS/8mm tapes to CDR/CDRW/DVD
all help greatly appreciated...
thx
Mark

Now I just need to get smart on the external programs/terminology I will now need to make this work to its full functionality.
