Hi
When i open a divx in virtuadub it sometimes gives me a problem with the sound like VBR incompatible, ... but when i play the divx the sound works very good, nothing there to worry about. But when i want to convert a divx without that problem it takes me 1.5 hours, when i got that problem, the sound seems to be messed up a lot. And TMPGenc says it takes 5hours. Once i let it finish and the sound stopped after a few minutesso plz help me. Convert to wav is not a possibility cuz the sound isn't synchron then. (srry for my english)

Thats because of the VBR MP3 in the avi file.
Most of those file made with a programm called " Sorry, canīt remember "
Iīve got the same problem with 1 movie, too. ( Never solved it ). But most of them worked great.
So try to use the programm avi2svcd or DVD2 SVCD ( you can switch the input to avi file ). That mostly solved all problems with messed up sound.
Try it. -
or look through the forums, and find where this question has been answered many times before. basically, you need to extract the sound as a wav using VDub, and use that as your audio input
