hi everyone,
i have a movie that is a bit long to fit on a 700 mb cd. can i use virtualdub or others to cut off the end of the movie to make it less that what it is now?

If the movie is an AVI - you can use VirtualDub - just load the movie, use the 'select range' setting under the 'Video' option, or use the slider bar and set the start and finish using the 'mark in' and 'mark out' buttons.
Set the Video and Audio to 'direct stream copy' and save the file.
If the file is an MPG - you can use TMPGenc 'Mpeg Tools' - 'Merge & Cut'.
Load the video using the Add button - set the 'type' to match the mpeg file - select 'edit', set the start and finish and save the clipped file.
