  1. Here is my problem. I have just installed Prassi PrimoDVD 2.0 to my computer which is a P4 2.26 running Windows XP Home. I installed the program but it will not recognize my Pioneer DVR-104 (A04) as a burner. I then went to the veritas support site and found and downloaded PxEngineUpdate342.exe. Well I ran that and then I started to get this error and PrimoDVD will not open up. The error is run time error '9' and below that is subscript out of range. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of this and I still get the same error. Can anyone tell me what to do so I can get this program to burn using my pioneer? Thanks

  2. 1st, download and install Windows XP SP1 (service pack 1) from Microsoft. This fixed some problems that I was having with my A04.

If that doesn't fix your problem, then go into Device Manage (under IDE Controllers) and find the IDE controller that has the A04 attached to it. Change the mode to PIO.

This helps to fix some problems with using the A04. PIO mode is more CPU intensive than UDMA mode, but you should be fine with your P4.
