  1. I use TMPGEnc Plus to make SVCDs from music videos (captured AVI from VHS in VDub) . Can somebody explain me why the portions of picture, that are perfectly still, in result mpeg2 visibly shiver (like jelly) ? Increasing bitrate seems not to be of much help ... Thanks.

  3. Shiver.. like left to right? Field order maybe. Try a test encode (ie. stop tmpgenc a few minutes in to a new encode) with the field order set to
    the opposite it is now.
