PROBLEM CONVERTING DIVX TO VCD USING NERO 5.5

EVERYTHING SEEMS EASY BUT AFTER THE ENCONDIG A MESSAGE APEARS ON NERO SAYNG C:\MOVIES ETC DISK IS FULL.

THE FILE I WANT TO BURNE IS 300 MG AND I HAVE 2G FREE ON THE HARD DRIVE.

I NEED HELP.

Okay...it doesn't matter how large the divx file is, what matters is how long it is...I don't use nero myself, never have much success with it so I don't know about whether it'll convert the divx to vcd all in itself...but assuming it can, the video has to be no longer than 70 minutes if it's a 650 MB CDR and no longer than 80 minutes if it's a 700 MB CDR...

is there a another way to burn a divx to vcd

From experience of many people never encode with Nero (bad work).
Nero is very good to burn and to make simple menu.
Use TMPEnc for encoding from Divx to VCD.

im using tmpenc 12.j
but when i try ti open the divx.avi file a message pops up that says that the file is unsopported.

are you sure that you have a divx codec like 3.11 installed? does the divx play in the windows media player? i recommend that you separately encode the audio and video, then mux together....there are many methods to do this

I got the same problem as tma mentioned. I don't know why. The divx.avi can be played in the windows media player well. When converting, message"unsupported file" comes out.
Anyone please help?

OK I think I know the problem,
the divx (I reckon) has audio encoded for div - x ie compressed so basically it can't be uncompressed on the fly and burnt - I reckon NERO probably just telling you size of video stream only. Remember a normal film is one and a half hours so when you "blow up" a div-x to mpeg it will be longer cos it aint so compressed - normally needs two vcds for one film because of this.
You can fire up virtualdub and load in the div-x then set the audio to non-compress and leave the video the same - pobviously make sure you lock audio to video as per settings. Save as AVI this will save a bigger div-x type div-x but with non compressed audio - be wartned the audio size will be bigger that the video hence it could very well be bigger than you'd like. It could also take upto 4 hours to do - depends on your system I guess.
Once you have the new encoded avi use TMPEGEnc to encode as an mpeg, use vcdcutter to splice in half and burn both halves as vcd's using the nero template and voila a div-x sourced film you can watch on your standalone.
I rip in real time to my asus and always encode the audio uncopmpressed (CD quality PCM) and with the video compressed using div-x and then convert as above - results are good.
