  1. Hi guys, I'm a newbie and I try to record films from my decoder, but I've got some problems:
I capture video using my ASUS V6600 Deluxe running an AMD XP 2000+ with 512MB and Windows 98 (drivers for WIN ME, 2000 and XP doesn't capture). I use VirtualDub with VCD format, 352x288, 25fps, and no one frame is dropped. My problem is that when encoding AVI to MPG I notice that video isn't fluid (sorry I'm Italian). I try to explain. It seems that some frame are lost and video goes on, then stop for a while, then goes on... it's like a square wheel, that has to be round not square!
Is perhaps the MPEG1 that cause this problem?
I encode AVI to MPEG using TMPGEnc.
    Please help me.
    Sorry for bad English.

    Bye

After you capture the AVI, run a scan for junk frames in Vdub, maybe your dropping frames without knowing about it ?

When you laod the Avi into TMPGEnc are you also loading a PAL template ?
