  1. hello,

I have 2 awesome XviD avi files and I installed the XviD codec and they play DVD-Quality, now I'm only missing the AC3 audio codec cause I can't hear any sound. Per GSpot that's the codec for audio that I need, where can I just download that codec?

I don't want to use that Lite app with all those codecs, I just need the AC3 one, someone please help...cause I'm searching all over the net for it.

    Thanks!

  2. ok than I guess I didn't have an option I went with Nimo Lite Pack 1.0, I installed just AC3 codec and then I play my xvid files and still no audio...

I clicked on the details tab after installing it and this is what is see:

Output Directory: C:\Program Files\Nimo Lite Pack
    Extract: autorun.inf
    Extract: Ac3audio.ax
    Could not load: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\\Ac3audio.ax
    Extract: Decaudio.ax
    Could not load: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Decaudio.ax
    etc, etc, etc......

I also checked in multimedia properties and I don't see my AC3 codec in the audio codec section...can someone help me please? Can I do a manual install or something...

but I'm pulling my hair right now after downloading that one, how do I install it (sorry for the dumb question) I click on the regsvr32.exe file and I get a pop-up error: "No DLL name specified"

on the zip file there are these files:
    mlcom.ax, ReadMe.txt (has nothing on how to install), reg.bat, regsvr32.exe, and unreg.bat

help me to install it please, thanks!

  4. KingJohn I found it man, I clicked on the reg.bat file after reading something on doom9 website...man I thank you so much, you have made my sunday!

i can relax now and watch my fav movie in XviD (perfect quality) with nice audio.

hey I had installed like maybe 2-3 other AC3 codecs and I think I installed them right (dunno), but they didnt work at all since they didn't play the audio for the movie, it doesn't hurt if they on my system does it? Or should I remove them...

thanks for the help man, you da KING!!!

Huh, don't say things like this, as a few around here wont like it

Glad you have it sorted, its always been a problem with the wrong codec's. I have seen posts saying programs wont do something, when they will "Provided you have the codec's"

Well TMPGEnc can sometimes use the wrong codec, but I would leave them on until such times you hit a problem, then this may be one of the things to consider. No Problems, leave well alone !
