When you load a template, TMPGEnc lists the spec at the bottom of its screen, it shows fps.

There are times when a conversion can give jerky playbacks, on screen pan's moving left right fast etc, depending on your DVD/TV how bad they will be.

I use the PAL VCD template for "Everything" and 90% of the time they are very good, and those other 10% only have missing frames on screen pans, but they are not that bad.

With a good quality source the conversions will be very good, but cam movies and the like are pretty awful
