  1. I have an ADVC-1394 now, so I can't use VirtualDub anymore, unfortunately. I really liked the preview with histogram to adjust brightness and contrast. Are there any other utilities, compatible with WDM drivers, that display a histogram? It doesn't even need to be a full-fledged capture program, just something to display the levels. The card comes with Vegas Video LE, but I don't think it has this feature.

Virtualvcr has a histogram, and is for WDM.

Actually I'm quite impressed with this capture program, with Huffyuv codec my captures from my VHS tapes look identical, with no color adjustments from Virtuallvcr.

Using the BTwincap drivers I have yet to get VirtualVCR to give me anything besides a hedache. It refuses to keep the audio and video in sync.

I'm using BTwincap drivers also, have no problem. Right now you can only capture audio at 16-stereo to keep in sync, the author is working on getting the other audio choices implemented.
What audio settings were you using?
Did you check off- Re-sample Audio to match Video

I use 16 stereo, 720x480 PIC MJPEG with no prefiltering...

No joy... tried for hours without success.

Last night I captured a 2 hour home VHS tape and it was good. I used 640x480 16 48khz stereo with Huffyuv codec. I clicked on" Re-sample Audio to match Video" and set Audio as master stream.
