  1. I just hope this doesn't turn into a trend!

I spent about 4 hours downloading "Triple X" in DivX format, a release from a krew called TMD-Movies.

anyway these guys were ... kind enough ... to place 3 logos at the bottom of the film with the address to their IRC server and channel. I don't know anyone else's opinions but i think this sux. I wouldn't mind a logo at the start. Hell, I'd even appreciate if I knew for sure what krew released what so i could know what to expect from them in the future. But com'on ... a small logo or tag or whatever at the start or end, something that i could later remove if I didn't like it, not 3 text logos that stay in the film from start to finish ?

And By the way ... someone got up in the middle of the movie and ended up in the DivX that these guys released. Damn

Ho well...sorry for the "disgruntal-employee-kinda-post" I just felt like letting off some steam and warn someone else that might be downloading releases from these guys.

  2. Thats the problem when you download from a shitty group that re-encodes other groups works and tries to take the credit. TMD is the worst with their re-encodes. They steal someone's work then rebadge it as their own with their crappy logos. If you want a good divx re-encode of the movie steer clear of SMR and TMD. If you want the best possible version you are going to have to download the VCD from the original release group.

  3. Could someone kindly dish out the names of some of these original encoding groups as it is quite hard to find a film these days thats not got crappy logos all over it.

    many thanks

  5. www.vcdquality.com

Has all the VCD releases combined with links to their IMDB entries, screenshots of the release to see what the quality is, the group who released it and their info. Also has a forum for people to comment on the release.
