Hello , i downloaded Blade2 , it was in Divx SVCD , if thats possitble , any who , i converted it to VCD using the TMPGenc Wizard. and i also tryed using Simple Color Correction , and it didnt help. Basicly when i run the mpg in my PC it looks fine , but when i run it on the DVD player , all white objects (such as a person's face , or a light bulb hanging from the ceiling , or the white text when someone speaks a different language) are way to bright, the darker objects look fine , (such as Snipe's black hair) Please Help , this is wierd! how do i keep the brightness of light from overtaking the entire movie so all i can see is white and cant watch the damn movie , its blinding! THanks

I think you'll find the problem is not brightness but contrast. This is the difference between light and dark.
If you frameserve your DIVX from VirtualDub, you can use the contrast and brightness filters in that. I find there are more options available with this because of the different plug-in filters you can get for VirtualDub.
It will take a bit of experimentation on your part until you find the right levels but reducing contrast should get a more watchable result.
Have Fun,
Ian

So you come along to a new forum and post your very first message, when someone answers you (I did at first) , you immediately think, Ill also use that Avatar.
Did you come along to this forum to get help ? Or just to annoy people. ?
There have been many who come here just to annoy, they don't last very long at all.

Lighten up KingJohn! SSJ3Matt has already admitted to the world that he is not bright and is seeking help. Unfortunately, brightness is something you are either born with or not. Developmental environment also plays an important role in the brightness one achieves in life. I'm suspecting SSJ3Matt's problem is genetic. It is probable he doesn't even know his real father. Perhaps his mother doesn't know either. So, it may be difficult to prove the genetics angle.
At any rate, let the dolt use your old avatar and make believe he is paying you the highest complement he knows how.

Well you see, its not the use of the Avatar that annoyed me, it was the way it was done. He posted his very first message asking for help, at that time he had no avatar, I replied to his message with offer of help, but instead of a further reply, he nicks my avatar
Sorry, dam annoying.. Hope you also like the new DivXlogo
Trouble is, he's probably a 10 year old kid

The very first time you see his avatar you find it mildly amusing (for about 10 seconds) and from that time on, you find it distinctly annoying to try and read the threads of text, with this stupid animated skeleton always in view. Very distracting to the eye.
Poor King John obviously needs this kind of attention
Sad.........

Maybe John was bottle fed.. who knows (or cares)?
The thing is that forum avatars always have a way of
getting out of hand in the end as competitive play
in the sandpit leads to an almost geometric progression
of narcissistic endeavors.
With luck, maybe the forum
moderators will step in early... untill then I've tweaked
IE6 to freeze any animations.

Well you know, many people in this forum use them just for a bit of fun, I guess you don't see that.
However I just wanted to let you know that I don't particularly care what you think !!, The vast majority of people I reply too, are grateful.
With over 3000+ posts and the many email I get, your opinions simply count for "Nothing"

As for avatars for fun - course they are! - however you seemed to take
yours a bit seriously.

others or do you simply crave some sort of elevation in front of your peers?
