chanarat,
It might help if you posted some details like for example what your settings were when you encoded with TMPGEnc.Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack -
I left the message belwo to fully describe my problems I was having and as you can see it has only occured since I installed some codecs over the top of others...........what order do i install codecs in ? as I have several differnt ones and wonder if i shoudl just delete them all and start all over from scratch or it is a format job ???
I have been using TMP for ages now encoding movies like 2 a day ect then i messed with some codecs when i was re installing some encoding programs to try and cut an mpeg and tried to install the TMpeg plus proggy and when i went to encode a movie it says it was way too big to fit onto a disc and it wasn't..........for example the movie was 50 mins long approx yet TMP was reading it like it was 157 mins long approx..............this is beginning to annoy me cos i have 30 films i need to burn and move off my hardrive ASAP cos I have no space left.please can someone help me, i realise now that it must be a codec problem but where the hell do I start all over again.
If anyone can talk me through it via ICQI would be grateful..........or even send me a message me at aleast......my ICQ is 152587755 -
For SVCD it's not necessary how many minutes for your files. You can have like 15 mintues but 900MB in size and still cannot burn with NERO or any burnning software. In this case you have to check if your filesize greater than 800MB (for 80mins cdr) or 740MB (for 74 mins cdr).

I know what your saying but I think you misunderstand what I was asking..............or what my problem is................I have been making VCD's for months now and all of a sudden i get this problem with every movie I try to encode.............like it is too big to burn onto a disc through TMP.
I know i messed about with installing codecs and some other dvd burning and encoding stuff.....one said it was incompatable with XP or wasn't given the seal of approval ect.................i have deleted them all now and gonna start from scratch again ....if that don't work i guess format is the last alternative. -
Soulkiss i have the same problem as you.
I have convertet MANY movies to svcd. Not suddently some of them i encode get too large and i cant burn them with Nero. Thinking it might be a codexproblem but i dont know.
Yesterday i convertet Panic room from divx->svcd The movie is around 111 min. I coded it with around 1815 bits if i remember correct. But the mpeg file i got out of it was 2.5 Meg! When i split that file, it gives me 3 files of 800 meg. That looks fine. When i try and play that file in powerdvd it says that every movie file is over 1 hour, and Nero wont burn it.
I have done this many times before, but lately i get this problems with some movies.
Please if anyone knows what to do. It is driving me crazy -
Hi
I have decided to go back to basic and format my computer..........as much as I hate doing it hopefully it resolve the problem here.
As it worked perfectly well before I installed lots of encoding DVD programs ect
