Is there any way to extract a BIN file to an MPEG without the associated CUE descriptor file?

I think Isobuster should be able to extract the mpg stream out of a BIN File. Right now, I don't have an Video in BIN format on my harddisk, so I can't test it, but it should work.

If you want to burn the bin directly to disc, Discjuggler will accept it without a cue file. However, what I always do is extract the mpeg from the bin using Isobuster. Then I multiplex this using TMPG's mpeg tools, SVCD option creating an mpeg with a new name. This I burn with Nero to SVCD. This takes longer, but I find that I am certain to get good results this way. If its a VCD mpeg, then I do basically the same except change the .dat to .mpg before using mpeg tools to multiplex.

I just created a test image and tried it. It worked perfectly.
You have to extract the AVSEQ01.MPG file in the MPG2 folder (Right Click - extract). I then had to add the correct ending to the file name (example test.mpg). After this, I could play the file with WMP.
Good luck -
It is still best to multiplex this file first if you intend to create an SVCD. 8)

I rarely ever burn one of these without first extracting the MPEG. Too many coasters for non-standard files...

If it is truly an S/VCD, then just burn the CUE/BIN image!
If you don't have the CUE file, you can regenerate it with CDMage, or use VCDXRIP and use immediately afterwards VCDXBUILD on the XML file (can do so with VCDImager Tools GUI).
To extract the MPEG files from a BIN image, you can use VCDGear or VCDXRIP (VCDXRIP is much more reliable and you can get everything from the disc -- with RIFF headers, etc., or sorted out).

I try to avoid blindly buring a bin file, as more often than not, there's something wrong with it, or the quality isn't worth the time.
ISOBuster did the trick. Worked flawlessly
Thanx!
