    Hopefully an easy one, I have downloaded a few movies in .MPG format that work on the PC. How can I tell what version of Mpeg it it 1,2,etc. and anyway can I just burn (using the instrustions here) with Nero for use on my DVD (that is compatable with VCD & SVCD)

    Sure....you can convert/burn as VCD or SVCD
