  1. I have a DVD/VCD Player installed in the back of the trunk. I made a VCD using Maxell CDR disc. I had the unit running for 2 hours.... and was working fine. AFter awhile, I noticed the jump and spin on the program. So I reset the player. It worked fine.. but then later it stopped working. I pop in another CDR disc.. and it works fine. I did some asking around... and found out that the heat cause the disc to stop working correctly. The Unit are made to be use in the trunk....so i know its not the unit.

What's a better disc (CDR) to use??? What about IMAGE CDs?? I guess what professional use to make audio CDs... any help and info would be greatly appreciate.

  3. Why is it that some people here believe that they "deserve" to be helped?? Or just because they post something that someone has an "obligation" to solve all their problems?

This is a public forum. It is a free exchange of knowledge. Basically, if get a reply, you are getting "something for nothing" and should be happy. VCDHelp is one of the best forums in that it is regularly frequented by many experienced members and most problems do get sorted out. If no one responds at all, there is usually something wrong with your question...

If no one answers your question is can be because:

Your question was too hard or obscure and so no one who read it knew the answer

Your question was too vague or lacked detail and is generally unanswerable (e.g., "My VCD doesn't work, HELP!")

Your question was inappropriate (e.g., wrong forum) or it was obvious you didn't do any reading at all (e.g., "What's a VCD?")

Your question was rude and demanding

    You haven't waited long enough

  4. how can heat make an optical system not work? i can see a VCR or tape deck not working because of heat, but optical, with no direct contact between "playback head" and "recorded media?" (to use "analog" terms, i guess...)
