freezing VCDs

i have burnt about 5 movies the last few days and for some risone when ever i put them in the DVD to play they freeze for half a sec. every minute or so .
does any one have an idea why this happens and how to fix it so it doesn't acure in the future ???
by the way the MPGs i had on the comp. where fine they didn't freeze at all .

by the way can it be becouse of the burning speed ???

try different a media, cd-rw or cd-r or a new brand
try burn in lower speed
