  1. I have only used this program a couple times, but seem to have no problem cutting MPEG-1 files. With MPEG-2, the program freezes and I get nowhere. Can anyone give me some help on this or maybe abother EASY program that would work for a beginner! Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jay.

MPEG2 editors are expensive. Try downloading the TMPGEnc version 12a (in the tools sections of this website).
Secondly if you are sure that your mpeg2 streams are ok, try doing everything a bit slower - watch the indicator/light of your pc and give it time to adapt. Usually TMPGEnc freezes if you try to do things too fast and it hasn't enough resources.

  3. I am wondering if I am using a wrong template or settings or something because I just ran into a problem with windows media player freezing as well. The next time I tried it Media player said it couldn't download an appropriate decoder for this format? I followed the instructions in the SVCD section exactly and everything seemed to go fine. Any ideas? Resources should not be an issue. I am running a T-bird 1Gig and 256Ram.

    Thanks,
    Jay

  4. i'm having a similar problem playing encodings with 3:2 pulldown playback. What filters is mediaplayer using on your system? I'm using ligos'. A fella was telling me that the filters is whats causing the problem. Don't know how to change them yet, sorry 8(
