One thing at a time !!!!!

You started off with one problem, and have moved on to several others !
First of all you need to download TMPGEnc zip file and unpack it correctly. In wizip right click zip file and select extract to c:\TMPGEnc etc

    http://www.tmpgenc.net/

Inside that folder will be the P3 dll, and you should also have a template folder. If you do this then your first problem should be fixed.

Next is you have a ASF, some systems wont be able to load those into Vdub 1.3C but it should still load into TMPGEnc and convert (If its not faulty) else see my post on WMV/ASF conversion with GraphEdit

Sounds like you have a corrupt ASF

  6. Do not run Tmpgenc from a shortcut. Run it directly from the program list or program file and it should load up fine.

  7. I managed to get the file to load up in tmpg by starting the program from the program list
However it took about 1 hr to process 25 seconds of the file before
    freezing up
When I try to set the time frame start & finish, this freezes the program also
My orriginal problem is to try to get this downloaded concert to play on my standalone dvd player which is vcd,mp3,cdr,cdrw compatible

Then I would give it up and use Graphedit
