I am trying for some tine now to get avi, and mpeg files that i dl on a vcd that i can play in my dvd player.
I encounter several problems. I work with tmpegenc and Nero burner 5,5
some files are not accepted bij tmpegenc, how come?
the files that are , when i try to burn them i have to encode them again , is that usual?
when the burning is completed almost all of the vcd have disturbance on them, and most of them completly stop after abaout 10 till 15 minuts
what do i do wrong?

Make sure you have all the codec's, if you have any missing you wont be able to do anything with the file. Downloaded files come in all shape and sizes, putting them on a VCD means you are going to covert "Any size" to the correct size for VCD
Files not excepted in TMPGEnc, is usually because of a missing codec, but also check this setting.
Select options > environmental settings
click the VFAPI plug-in tab
right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4
If you try to use a mpeg that is not fully compliant, Nero needs to re-encode them to the correct specifications, this should be avoided as Nero will make a right mess of it. Make sure you do all the conversions in TMPGEnc, and load a VCD template (PAL/NTSC)
making them fully compliant, will give your DVD player less problems...
