  1. I need a directshow filter for decoding MPEG-2 TS files. Ultimately, I would like to transcode to H264.

    Thanks in advance.

When I convert my TS files (recorded OTA with TV antenna on the roof) I do the following:

    - User VideoRedo to remove commercials
    - DGIndex to to create the d2v file used in my AVISynth script
    - MeGUI to convert to h264 using my AVIsynth script file as the input file

  5. Thanks guys!

Does VideoReDo re-encode the video? I used AviSynth to edit out the adverts, but if VideoReDo doesn't re-encode, I might as well use that.

  6. Mpg2Cut2 is free and can edit MPEG 2 TS files losslessly (cuts only on I frames). It outputs MPG files.
