I have a SEG DVD 2000(firmware 3H) and I have some problems with playing a SVCD. It freezes every couple of secs for a very short time and then just goes on....it's very annoying.
The player supports SVCD.

It's a conversion from a ntscfilm divx/avi. I used virtualdub 1.4.10 to extract the audio and tmpgenc 2.58.44.152 to encode and then VCDEasy 1.1.2 to burn it to CD. I burned it at 4x speed(Plextor 8/2/20 writer) and I used a constant bitrate of about 1900 in order to get half of the movie(I used the source range to cut it in TMPGenc) at max quality on one CD.
I have also downloaded and installed the NIMOcodec pack.

I'm still a newb at all this stuff, but I have read as much at VCDhelp as I thought was relevant.

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what I did wrong. I imagine it could be either the bitrate(too high or should I use CQ bitrate?) or the write speed of the burning process(try 2x, 1x?) or even that my firmware is not up-to-date enough. Perhaps someone can tell me what firmware I should be using, cuz it's a little confusing to me(A2, 4.1? or other?).

Anyway for someone of my meager knowledge there are too many things that I could have done wrong, so I could use some advice...
