Does a DVD player read a CDRW and a CDR the same way after burning a trial run for say a VCD?
Or, does a DVD player have an 'easier' time reading a CDR...I ask because I have been using the same CDRW for a long time now and sometimes my player locks up. Barring the bitrate, etc, etc...Is it OK to use a CDRW for trial runs?
Thanks

It depends. If you have a DVD player that is designed to read CD-R/W media (it will be in the manual) then the answer is yes.
If you have a player that wasn't designed to play CD-R or CD-RW media, you can run into all sorts of media compatibility issues. Often, CD-RW actually works better than CD-R in these players.
Your best bet is to just try it out.
