    I am new to this whole thing and I am getting confused on what the difference between a DVD-R and a VCD. I know how you get a DVD-R but not a clue on how to get a VCD by copying my home DVD's. Can someone please explain this whole thing to me.

    Read read read, Look at the "what is" section on the left side. It holds all of the answers life.


    Short, VCD is on a regular cdr not dvd. The rest is to be read.
