well, since you can't find kodaks much anymore i'd say that the easiest good brand to find would be fuji. if not them, verbatim is decent quality. memorex and others are made cheaply.

Maybe I'm lucky. I have not had any bad experience on any CDRs at all. I always get whatever the cheapest or on sale or with good rebates no name CDRs.

the cheap ones won't hold up too long though. i have a few 5 year old cd-r's that i can't extract data from. i stay away from no name media

I justed wanted to add my expierences with cd-rs. Have burned and ripped for about a year with no problems using Imation and Verbatim
cd-rs. In the last month I bought Phillips cd-r80's and for some reason the picture stutters and then the sound seems to come and go. I went back to the Imation and the problems go away and the quaility is perfect.

Definitelly Verbatim brand if you want quality. More money, but unmatched quality.
